Educate, Engage and Empower

African Outreach is an African-led charity. We work on the continent and in the UK to promote and support self-help efforts out of poverty.

We engage with African communities, carrying out training exercises, awareness raising in issues such as health, HIV and human rights and in mobilising resources.

We are currently working to improve the lives of women and youth as part of a slum development programme in Ghana.

In the past we have worked with female domestic assistants to provide them with skills and help them to increase their income. We have supported a craftworkers' cooperative, set up computer training centres for women and youth and produced an African development orientated magazine.
